Slump in UK University Applications

Fewer Uk Students Applying To University The number of students applying to university has fallen 8.4% on last year, according to statistics released by Ucas. The figures do not represent the final numb  ers because the deadline for most university applications is January, but universities fear the slump in applications may be a sign of things to come. Million+, a group which represents modern universities, says say alarm bells should be ringing in government – it is now calling on government to launch a campaign showing younger students what they can gain from higher education.
