A source revealed the news to Us Weekly saying that the couple are "over the moon".
"Kanye West always wanted a girl," said the source.
Kardashian and West's child is said to be due in July.
Kardashian recently clarified comments she made about privacy to Du Jour magazine.
The reality star was quoted as saying that her boyfriend taught her "a lot about privacy", but she meant to say that West taught her to have "boundaries" with the public when on dates with him.
