The touching cheat sheet written by woman for her friend suffering from short term memory loss

A woman who suffered from short term memory loss was given a cheat sheet that answered her most frequently asked questions.
The patient's cognitive trauma came after a mysterious illness, possibly meningitis, and her best friend came up with the idea to type out some helpful reminders about what was going on when the forgetful woman had bouts of confusion.
The sheet provides background information on what the woman suffered but handles the delicate issue with the humor and ease that only a true friend could provide.

A friend in need is a friend indeed: A woman typed up this cheat sheet to help her friend suffering from short term memory loss to remember why she was in the hospital

In the handout, with READ THIS typed in large red bold letters, the friend explained how the sudden memory loss was brought on in May 2011, according to a Reddit posting by a woman identified only as JoDiegoJo on Thursday.
In it she passes on helpful and blunt information to her friend about her condition and how she ended up in the hospital.
Though the woman was in ICU and experiencing serious symptoms, her friend peppered her info sheet with humor to give her a lighthearted assessment of what had happened.

In a Reddit post, the woman plagued with the memory loss explained how she had been feeling sick for several days and so took a trip to the ER to see if anything serious was going on.
'A nurse didn't bother checking my med chart and administered a medication for nausea that reacted with another medication. Hypoxia ensued. When I was revived I was combative and didn't even know who my husband was,' she wrote in a posting.
She believes her condition was brought on by an oversight of the hospital.
After the terrifying ordeal, she says she has spent two years in cognitive therapy to teach her brain how to retain information.
'Good news is that I am still making progress and my doctors have hope that I will recover even more!'
Her witty writer friend didn't just provide the sick woman with the humorous cheat sheet, according to the Reddit user, she also took an extended leave of absence from her job to care for the woman's children.
A friend indeed.
