M-NET AFRICA'S MD, 'BIOLA ALABI RESIGNS

Biola Alabi, the Managing Director of M-Net Africa has resigned her appointment from the multinational cable/satellite content company. She has since dropped her resignation letter a few days ago, and this is authoritative. According to findings made by The ELITES, Biola's resignation is mired in controversy. While some sources claim that she was forced to resign, others insist that she  did so out of her own volition.

 Biola was able to distinguish herself as one of the most accomplished and powerful women in African media, when she sat atop the multinational cable/satellite content company. She has been at the forefront of the expansion of the AfricaMagic channels brand across the continent. Biola once made it to the 11th position of Forbes' listing of the Africa's Most Powerful Women in the Media. She was also honoured as a 2012 young global leader by World Economic Forum. Biola always exemplifies the young,
smart and successful woman other women aspire to be. She packs more punch with her naturally appealing mien. Coming from a background of extensive research and experience garnered from working in some top-of-the-grade corporations in the US and Asia, Biola never loses focus of that one principle that has shaped her life.
Meanwhile, M-Net has named Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu as its first Regional Director, West Africa. The CEO of M-Net Sub-Saharan Africa, Mrs. Patricia van Rooyen said Mba-Uzoukwu’s appointment reflected the broadcaster’s rapid growth in West Africa. 
Mba-Uzoukwu was one of West Africa’s most talented broadcast executives, having joined M-Net as Regional Manager in October 2012. With a degree in Political

Science and a postgraduate diploma in Direct Marketing, she joined M-Net from Airtel Nigeria Limited where she was Head of Brand and Marketing Communications
Wangi will head up an extremely strong content team that will capitalise on the excellent reputation and popularity that M-Net has amongst hundreds of thousands of West Africans viewers. She has since taken up her new position on March 1, 2014.
