Nigerian International Footballer Taye Taiwo's Palatial Home In Festac, Lagos

Soccer star, Taye Taiwo, has a beautiful home in Festac Town, Lagos. Situated on 400 Road, the storey building parades two unmistakable black gates and also two beautiful pillars. Surrounded by an electric fence, there are lights everywhere, which makes the house a beauty to behold at night.
Well paved and enhanced with flowers, a peep into the compound revealed some exotic automobiles like Chrysler, G-Wagon Benz and Range Rover neatly tucked inside a car port. Said to have been completed years ago, the footballer who currently plays for Bursaspor F.C allegedly bought over the property that was there before for about N30 million and then renovated it to suit his taste; extracting this and including that along the line.

In fact, nearly all the things used were said to have been imported from France. That, we gathered, was when he was still playing for Marsielle Football Club of France. A simple but sophisticated house, an estate valuer put the current cost at over N100m. Easy going and generous, neighbours confided in us that he jogs or cycles anytime he’s in town. “The guy is not arrogant. Anytime he’s around, he mixes well with people. He also assists his siblings, because whenever he’s in town, you see them trooping in and coming out with smiles on their faces. Three of his blood relations, two guys and a girl, live in the house and also take care of it."

A quiet and neat neighborhood with the roads tarred and security okay, other known people who also live on 400 Road are Pastor Lazarus Muoka of the Lord Chosen Church, Mr. Ayeni Yusuf, a former director with Nigerian Breweries, General John Shagaya, former Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Ingram Osigwe, MD, Full Page Communications, Chief Leo Okafor, former chairman, Alaba Traders Association and his brother, Dennis, owner of Rochester Hotel.

Born on April 16, 1985 in Lagos, Ismaila Taye Taiwo is a left footer. He plays in the Turkish league now for Bursaspor. But before that, he had played for clubs like Lobi Stars, Gabros FC, Marsielle, Milan, Queen’s Park Rangers and Dynamo Kyev. He also laces his boots for Nigeria’s Super Eagles – although he’s not among those invited for the World Cup in Brazil.
