The pair were exchanging letters every day and eventually she flew to Texas to meet him. They fell in love and now hey are now engaged. The prisoner, Chris, is up for parole next year and Jennifer plans to marry him on his release. The 29-year-old plans to travel to the French Robertson Unit in Texas to marry 23-year-old maximum security prisoner Christopher Mosier, leaving her three children – all younger than 10 – with their dad while she sets up home.
The couple met in 2011 when Ms Butler found Mosier’s profile on website writeaprisoner.com and she said she liked his ‘honest’ and ‘open’ profile.

‘Some people might think I’m bonkers for falling in love with a prisoner. And not everyone will agree with our relationship,’ the besotted young mum admitted.
However, she’s adamant she’s not making a mistake in leaving her children to set up home with a convicted felon, who was sentenced to 15 years in 2009 for burglary with deadly conduct (using a firearm without concern for the safety of others) and has prior drug convictions.

Ms Butler told The Sun: ‘Chris is a wonderful man. Sure, he made a few mistakes in the past but everybody deserves a second chance.
‘I am devoted to my children but they deserve a happy mum too. This relationship will be for me but the life I build is going to be for all of us.’
Ms Butler has encouraged her three children to write to him and send him drawings and says it’s important to her that they get to know him as she plans to spend the rest of her life with him.
She added: ‘Chris is a brilliant man. He’s not a dangerous criminal. He’s learnt from his mistakes.’
We’re not judging, but, let’s be honest, he ain’t no Jeremy Meeks.
