Man Survives Being Thrown From 7-Storey Building By Isis For Being Gay Then Stoned to Death

A picture shows him sitting up after being thrown from the building.

This blindfolded man was allegedly thrown from the roof of a tower block, simply for being gay.
According to reports from the Syrian town of Tal Abyad, members of Isis threw the man seven storeys, but despite surviving the fall, he was then stoned to death.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the man’s crime was to have a ‘homosexual affair’.

Before he is thrown from the building, the man, believed to be in his 50s, can be seen on a white chair flanked by two masked men in dark clothing and army fatigues.
A judgement appears to be read aloud before he is sentenced to being thrown from the highest point of the city.

Somehow he survived and can be seen sitting up as onlookers gather round him. Shortly after they turn on him, throwing stones until he is dead.
Earlier this month another man was thrown to his death for being gay by militants in Iraq.
Two men were stoned to death in the Syrian city of Raqqa in November, while a separate incident last December saw a gay man thrown off a rooftop and stoned to death for committing an alleged act of blasphemy.
