Coca-Cola Hopes New-Look Packaging Can Put The Fizz Back Into UK Sales - But Do You Like It?

A range of cans have already been introduced in Spain that unifies the different looks of Coca-Cola, Coke Zero, Diet Coke and Coke Zero Zero

Coca-Cola could be about to cause a fizzy fuss with a new-look range of cans.
The soft drinks giant is experimenting with its packaging in Spain - and has unveiled a fresh range of red-topped tins that brings together Coca-Cola, Coke Zero, Diet Coke and Coke Zero Zero (caffeine-free Coke Zero).

The change is based on the iconic red Coca-Cola branding and if it proves popular could be adopted worldwide.

The sugary snack drink is also set for a re-brand on these shores in May with marketing experts claiming the moves are to combat plunging sales.
Coca-Cola has previously set out to push separate brands for different drinks but has now decided on a u-turn.
The updated packaging will also make clear the difference between each drink, with research revealing that not all British consumers understand what each beverage is.
According to surveys by Coca-Cola Great Britain, five out of 10 consumers did not realise Coca‑Cola Zero is a no sugar, no calorie drink.
Jon Woods, General Manager of Coca‑Cola Great Britain & Ireland, said: "With our new ‘one brand’ approach, we are uniting four distinct brands under the umbrella of Coca‑Cola.
"We believe our no and lower sugar variants will benefit from this closer association with Coca‑Cola and that featuring all variants in our advertising will make clear to more consumers the full choice we offer them."
