The APC said in a statement by its Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, Barr. Kunle Oyatomi, ‘Iwo deserves peace, just like every other section of the state deserves peace’.
The party also prayed that Yorubaland should evolve a rancor-free and peaceful ascension to the traditional institution without which harmony, and continuity will be unattainable.
‘The decision by the government therefore to eliminate conflict in the ascension process to the Iwo throne should be a model at least, consistent ‎with the tradition of our people without undue political interference’.
