Saudi Arabia seize alcohol beer disguised as Pepsi

Imaginative smugglers have been caught attempting to enter Saudi Arabia with thousands of beer cans disguised as Pepsi.
Customs officials in the Middle Eastern country intercepted the shady operation at the al-Batha border crossing with the United Arab Emirates.

The man had covered the Heineken beer cans with pepsi labels and was caught as he attempted to cross the Al Batha border into Saudi Arabia, when border control officers noticed something suspicious about his cargo.

Al Batha border General Manager, Abdulrahman al-Mahna said: "A truck carrying what first seemed to be normal cans of the soft drink Pepsi was stopped and after the standard process of searching the products, it became clear that the alcoholic beers were covered with Pepsi's sticker logos."
According to news site alarabiya.net, the suspect was caught and apprehended.

It is not clear what charges he faces.

The story quickly went viral after being covered in local newspapers and shared on online news websites.

Footage of the security official's searching the cargo has also been posted on Twitter and shared thousands of times on social media sites.
